Rant #3 - Cthulthu Vs Dragonrider82, Man Vs Ape.
Posted by Cthulthu , 13 December 2009 - 03:15 PM
Today i'm ranting about someone in a clan i temp-fight for (I'm not in the clan but get invited as a guest to PK trips and wars, and this clan is Execution). In the clan is a ape of a 'boy' called Dragrider82 who was unfortunately born without a brain which so many of us value so dearly.
So i felt like going soul wars because i saw on youtube how good the new prayer 'wrath' is and i don't mind getting a few soul war points so i can eventually get an abyssal demon pet, so on IRC i ask in several channels 'Does anyone know a soul wars CC' to which i get almost no answer, except in Execution's CC from dragrider89 who asks me 'aren't u maxed?' as if the only reason some one would go to Soul wars is to train combat or slayer, for no one would possibly play soul wars for....FUN?!
Dragrider82 fails to understand i might play Runescape to have fun, and then compares it to PC, and i'm thinking, hey there, you might be a pathetic loser who thinks of PC and SW as ways of training combat because you are PC/SW product, but to me its just a mini-game, and i'm also wondering why he even plays RS if it isn't obvious to him that what anyone does on Runescape is to have fun, as if people played RS because they had too, it was just an incredibly stupid question to ask.
Now i'm guessing he realised what an idiot he was, so he steers the convo into asking me why i need a CC then, just digging a bigger hole for himself. I'm like, 'because i want to win?' and 'because winning is fun? Who plays to lose?!'. So now he's struggling with the concept of wanting to win as part of having fun, so i'm thinking to myself, what a loser, clearly hes never had any ambition to win anything in his life. And now the convo takes a downwards turn as he tells me 'ur acting like chessy', so i ask him 'how so?' and he says 'she has all the money a person would need, yet what does she do, make more money' so i'm like, what has money got to do with soul wars? and then thinking maybe he's thinking of me as an exp whore or something, i ask, 'i just said i'm playing for fun? so how is this about exp?!' and at the same time, i'm thinking to myself, if it was about exp, wouldn't i find a better way to train than soul wars lol? isnt armoured zombies 100k an HOUR?!
This guy is just a complete moron, comparing me to Chessy, i understand why he might not like how chessy plays but how the hell did he manage to compare me to her because i want to play Soul Wars o.O
I call him pathetic, which i think is completely fair summary of him, creating this odd flaming discussion out of nothing, and then he says 'look at your stats before you say that' so i'm like, i've been playing for years! i didn't no-life my stats, they are a product of years of playing and then, hilariously, he says hes played for 5 years and has a third of the exp i have, and i'm thinking, i see this loser on 24/7 as if he doesn't have a job or go to school and yet he hass played 5 years with a third of the exp, what the hell is he doing exactly? He then asks me why i haven't been pk'ing lately, as if i have to go (remember, im not in the clan, i go when i bloody well want too), to which i say, i haven't had the time to stay up late to go pk'ing, at which point he tracks me as if trying to prove that statement wrong (of course, being the idiot he is, he ignores the word late, which does not imply i'm inactive but could mean i am active in the day and not the night (though actually, i'm completly inactive because i have a temp-job and only play 30 mins to an hour on weekdays). So he tracks me and asks why im slaying over lvl 99, so im like, i slay because its fun?! I didn't slay to 99, it was not a 'job' for me to get 99 and then dump the skill as if it didn't exist, i trained to 99 and past it because its a fun and profitable skill to train, one of the many reason i dont have to wear welfare gear like him. At this point, seemingly admitting hes a welfarer which he is, he says 'your gear doesn't matter' and then asks if i'm a good hyrbrid, to which i reply, 'i am a crap pker but i still get kills' to which for some reason he says 'done' and when i ask him what he means he says 'ur going nowere' which is his closing line before the fight is broken up.
What does that mean? i'm going no where? as if this whole convo was about pking. what an epic troll, turning a one line question of me wanting to find a CC for soul wars into a fight about why his way of playing Runescape is 'right' and my way of playing is inconceivable.
He was basically saying, his way of playing Runescape which involved killing NPC's to make cash and then spending it on Pk'ing which he found fun, was the correct way to play Runescape, and because he couldn't understand how a game like soul wars, when it offered me no useful combat experience, was meant to be fun, was therefore the wrong way to play Runescape. I sort of think of it like discrimination, making him scum of the world, because i don't play like he does, what i find fun is WRONG, we can't be different, apparently we all have to play in the same way.
What a complete and utter moron.
Ep'ers Have No Rights To Complain.
Posted by Cthulthu , 28 September 2009 - 11:34 AM
I think it's funny how little people think about a situation when they are angry or annoyed and how they can often be hypocrites, fighting with an argument they probably argue against when the roles are reversed, which they are likely to be at some point.
76k'ers claim they are not pk'ers, they're just trying to make some money and when they get attacked, their insults are usually 'L2pk' which means 'learn to player kill' which they say because it's not really considered right or honourable to attack someone who cannot fight back, so its not really a fight at all and there certainly no skill necessary in doing so or much dignity and pride to be gained, so people who pk Ep'ers are considered to be fail pkers, people who cannot kill others in a fight, and so prey on people who cannot fight back. Ep'ers also insult their pkers by calling them sad/losers/pathetic, all of which might be true but is probably the same for them, but under different grounds.
I think this is funny. I think what is really funny is that EP'ers think they have a right not to be disturbed or have people attempt to kill them because they have no intention of fighting back and they feel somehow aggrieved despite being on a PVP/BH world in which people are meant to kill and be killed and despite Jagex saying that they wish to deal with EP'ers because this is not meant to happen, people are not meant to sit around for 2 hours doing nothing and then killing others to gain money, this is not in the spirit of pking.
So in this case, i agree with pk'ers who kill Ep'ers despite their inability fight back because, after all, its a PVP/BH world and anyone is fair prey.
I also love how EP'ers then try to insult pkers by calling them losers & pathetic, now don't get me wrong, if a PKer fails to get a kill on his helpless pray when he is potted, using piety, probably had max str gear and probably used 2 claws specs, and still fails to kill...then insult them all you want, because it is rather pathetic that they managed to fail, especially see'ing as after the 2 specs, they still have around 7 seconds to do any other damage before time out.
BUT, when a EP'er is flaming a pker after they've been killed or before the pker attacks, its laughable, because an EPer does nothing for 2 hours, and they are either breaking Jagex rules by being afk and/or using a program/trick to keep them logged in, or they are sat in front of their computer screens, playing a game for so called 'fun' in which they do nothing, and all this when there are vast other possibilities to make money than are far much better use of time. Now just to clear any misunderstandings, i am not saying any of this is bad or wrong (well, not unless you're breaking Jagex rules) but if you do this, and then you turnaround and call pk'ers sad and pathetic, then you really are a sad and pathetic hypocrite, and all your flaming directed at pkers is probably true only in describing yourself.
-------
Yah so.
Just to finish this.
I pk pk'ers, i Ep too.
I do not complain about deaths, fair does.
I do flame failed pkers on attempts to kill me/
I do not pk ep'ers because its pointless to me, if i have EP, i have friends to use it on, so theres no other reason to kill Ep'ers as they arnt wearing anything that would be worth killing them for, especially as there are high chances i wouldn't even get the item as a drop.
i'll write a counter argument tomorrow.
Rant #2
Posted by Cthulthu , 22 June 2009 - 07:17 AM
Today was a unusual day. Im sitting in a room with a few people getting EP in varrock (Hot Zone) and theres this girl with claws/fighter torso and whip and stuff and skulled. Were all sitting down and then this guy with PVP armour and claws comes in, and specs her out, she loses everything. She then comes back, and out the blue, SHE BLAMES ME!!!.
She claims that i'm the pkers friend and i called him to kill her. This is completely out of the blue, she had no evidence, i wasn't even talking or paying attention, so how she came to that assumption i will never know.
Now this much is alright, but ofc, blaming me isnt enough, she has to start flaming. Yet again, i get all the usual, no lifer/fatass, your 138 etc etc. and then eventually she attacks me with DDS so i attack her and she realises shes made a huge mistake because...well shes pathetic, and she runs and i chase but i dont kill, i accidentally ags spec someone so im skulled and suicide to get rid, go back to the house where she is back at and i sit down. She continues to flame, and i flame back but also keep adding that i haven't done anything wrong!
I mean honestly, why are people so stupid. First she makes a completely random assumption, connecting me to the pker and blaming me for her loss! Then i'm like, why would i deny knowing him if i really didn't, what could i possibly be achieving, but shes too stupid to understand that, completely ignoring it, pretending shes fine with losing D Claws even though shes clearly crying so much about it because she targetting me with her anger. It's so pathetic, taking it out on someone who had no involvment.
So thats my rant.
- Malala7 (The girl who this is all about, lost D Claws, Fighter Torso, Whip and another 2m apparently and blamed me for her death)
- Jef (The pker, he had numbers on the end of the name but seeing as i dont remember then and I DONT KNOW HIM i can't remember them.
- Flugel7 (Some idiot who called me a nolifer based on having 138 combat when she/he is 131 o.O, and i bet she/he wouldn't call themselves a no lifer, hell no, 6 levels makes the difference between nolife and life)
Rants #1

Theres always something that gets on my nerves every day, and i like to write about it and re-read it because it calms me down and this seems to be a good place to express myself, where very few people read and i can still have it publicsed :P
Also i am well aware that these are my views on the events that take place and my stories make look bad on me and backfire, but oh well, we cant always be right.
18th May 2009
Today i was mining a s1 star in the wilderness, minding my own business, and only have a pickaxe equipped, and the revs are coming onto us liked mad, and there were about 15 ppl, most of who started running, and some started attacking, and some got into a safe position around the star to stop getting attacked, i was doing the latter.
So this lvl 134 then says, (i cannot repeat this accurately because its been a couple of hours now), something about me being 138 and not helping, and hes not talking directly to me, but about me to his friends. So i'm like, im here to get mining exp, not kill revs. Then him and his friend start taunting me, suggesting i have no back bone and im chicken, saying stuff like, why be 138 and not kill revs etc (and this while 1) were still being attacked and 2) they are still mining and doing nothing to help themselves and they are wearing d hides and have weapons)
So i'm left wondering, what did i do to deserve a verbal attack, why is it my responsibility to help them survive, if they cannot stand revs, dont be in the wildy or use your brain and get it blocked, and also, how they can be so hypocritical.
Then all the normal garbage these losers say start getting said like, 'get a life', and they become rude so i report them (and in hindsight maybe i shouldn't have told them i did, but i wanted a reaction and i got one). And these guys are part of a star group, so im getting verbally abused by everyone, someone said i was big-headed, and im assuming they meant i think i'm better than them, and so i left wondering with more questions like, i didn't start this, how am i being egotistical, and why people can talk in such a way when its quite clear they are involved not because they know what the situation is about but for the hell of it.
Also im thinking to myself, i certainly didnt get 138 to save them/to kill revs and i certainly have nothing to gain from killing them, afterall, im mining a star for mining exp arn't i.
Perhaps its a bit selfish of me to not help them, but i think my argument that, if they cant survive themselves, dont be in the wildy, is far more valid, and why should i give up mining exp which is why im there, to help them.
Anyway, here is some naming and shaming. This people cant mind their own business, and like to bully people by pairing up with each other.

A Short Guide To Skiller's Assessment (heavy Text)
Posted by Cthulthu , 14 June 2008 - 03:11 AM
As you may assume, 99 farming was achieved. Its been almost three weeks since. I very rarely miss a deadline because i always aim to achieve.
Since reaching my goal, i took my usual thinking period break were i assess my current position. During that period i added my 14th achievement cape to my bank, in the form of a much delayed quest cape.
How i assess - Finance
During my assessment i look at the skills i haven't achieved 99 in. I then look at the possibility of reaching a 99 in one of those skills, for this part of the assessment i look at the financial costs of achieving my aim, because if i don't have the money, then obviously theres little point in pursuing that goal. I also have to think about if i want to spent the money necessary to achieve my goal or if i have other ideas in mind for that money. This is a very important point to think about, you don't want to regret spending vast amount of money and then having a hard time making it all back.
#Example..I spent 113m on farming and around 60m on crafting within a few months and at the moment, i really wished i still had enough for an Armadyl godsword because i want to solo KQ among other things. Also i passed up a chance to buy a phat, something i still haven't owned, when i decided to instead spend 60m on smithing.
Dont part with your cash unless your sure its in your interest and is the best thing for you to do. Also make sure you have enough to make your money back again
#Example.. I made sure that after smithing, i had 10m left for veracs to use on KQ, which was my main method at the time of getting my cash.
How i assess - Time/Effort/Money
Next i need to assess how much time and effort is required. It is important for a successful skiller to stay focused in my opinion, though many may disagree and suggest you take it one level at a time with various skills, so always know what the goal will involve. The amount of time and effort required depends on your method for training the skill and both can be linked with financial gains and losses. The dream is too find a method that requires little time and effort for either little financial cost or high financial gain.
#Example.. Choosing the smelt gold ore for smithing exp (with goldsmith gauntlets) is a fast method, requires little effort but is very expensive as opposed to turning steel bars in cannonballs which is very slow, requires little effort and is profitable.
Luckily for us, with 'smith/smelt x' both options require little effort but the time it takes to gain exp and the cost relate with each other.
#Tip.. One of the best skills to get the 'dream' method in is fishing for monkfish. I recommend this skill and method to everyone for their first real 99 because monk fishing is fast, requires little effort once you've done the necessary quests to be able to fish monkfish and is highly profitable.
When assessing time & effort required, it is important to explore all methods. Time the exp rates, calculate the profit/expense and ask yourself, if the you can sustain the effort required...can you handle the workload or will you crack before you achieve your goal. For me, this is very important. I don't want to waste my time on an inferior method and if there is an opportunity to spend a little more, or make a little more profit at the expense of a small amount of exp, i want to know about it. I do this research myself and search RSC guides.
#Example.. I recently read a mining guide called Powermining, The Enigma, and it told me that the best method of mining was power mining, and i could do so on Iron ore or Granite/sandstone mining. I then did my own research by looking at the exp rates of these methods according to my own skill (Focus and attention) and my current level. Despite the guide telling me that granite/sandstone mining were superior by around 20k/hour more, my own research told me that at my level (73) granite/sandstone mining were only 3k/hour better because i cant mine granite instantly yet and also that my iron mining, despite being instant, was not fast enough to get the exp rate the guide was telling me i could get.
#Tip.. Don't trust guides, in my experience they lie to make their guides look useful and exp rates are often based on heresay, guessing, or potential exp they calculated for only working a fraction of the hour (e.g getting 5k mining exp in 5 minutes doesn't mean it will definatly be 60k exp in an hour). A lot of guides measure the exp/hour based on the last example and during those 5 minutes, pay extra care and attention when working which they would not be able to sustain in a longer period of time. Power mining, the engima does this (but makes no secret of it) by taking a sample (e.g Saying it takes 1 minute 14 seconds to mine 30 iron ore and then saying someone can sustain that throughout their training)
How i assess - Smaller though processes
After doing both assessments, i may also look at what their is to gain. Apart from the 99 achievement cape, you might want to think of peoples opinions of that skill (e.g Some people try not to get cooking and fletching as their first cape because many think their commonness makes the skill nooby because it is easy to attain). You also want to look at the advantages of that skill, many skills can be efficient moneymakers at level 99, like being able to mine runite a little faster or cut magic logs. You also want to think about how much you like that skill because the more you enjoy it, the easier it will be to train because you won't get bored as fast as you might with another skill.
During the assessment period, i also suggest you look at the possibility of training with friends alongside (therefore you must find out if friends are willing to train a little with you) This adds a little competitive element which can make training far quicker, because time does fly by when your in competition. This could just be for a small amount of time, or perhaps you can challenge someone to race towards a set goal. Either way, it is a huge benefit, and when i myself attained my first 99 in fletching, through competition with a friend of mine (Karnivor3).
If you don't have friends like this, then maybe you should join a skillers clan who will have like-minded people who are also looking for a little competition. I've been in Skillaz (No longer exists) and am currently with Runescape Skillers (RSS) and my main reason for joining both of them was for a competitive element. I like to meet new friends and enjoy events with others but i also want to establish myself within a group of skillers, as someone who may eventually rise above them. Therefore, my clan is my drive.
Thankyou for reading
I could probably have typed a lot more and have been more detailed, and if anyone enjoyed reading this and would like to know more, add a comment and maybe one day in the near future, while training of course, i will write a guide.
Assessment is important for everyone, in life and runescape, i hope this helps someone.
While writing this guide, i think i finally decided on my new goal. 99 Mining.
We will see, i'm going to give it a trial period, i've already increased my total mining exp by 33%+ by gold mining (I've chosen little effort and high profit over time which will be very very long, at least until granite/sandstone power mining becomes a better option)
New Graphics...
Posted by Cthulthu , 08 May 2008 - 03:24 PM
The update isn't necessary but its still fantastic.
Lots of people think this update will happen soon but IMO, don't get too exited because i don't expect the update till late early or middle 2009.
Why?....Later this month, due to a member's poll which asked which area would you most like to see graphically updated, tzhaar was chosen and will be hauled over. Unless jagex were working on this update knowing full well that they were wasting resources and effort on a graphics update which would last only a couple or few months is unlikely.
You have to assume that this guaranteed poll was created while jagex were also thinking over the idea of a completely new look Runescape and decided that they could do both because the release dates for both updates would vary a lot. So i think people are getting a little too exited for a graphics update we can expect around this time next year.
I also think Jagex never intended to let us know about this complete graphics update so soon, but decided it would be a good move in order to get the data they wanted, because no doubt, many of us who didn't let jagex look at our computer specs, will have don so now, hoping for a quick release of the new graphics.
Lots Of Change
Posted by Cthulthu , 03 May 2008 - 08:46 PM
In terms of levels, the biggest achievement was attaining 99 crafting. I went from around lvl 87 to 99 and attained level 99 on March 14th, having gained all those levels in 1 week.
My next goal is 99 farming and so far, since around 1st April, i've gone from lvl 81 to 93 and should have 99 in a month from today.
Apart from that, i've only gained a few levels here and there.
In terms of exp, i went a little insane for a clan cooking competition and got 6m+ exp within 3 days.
In terms of the RS community....
The skillers clan i joined in January closed down on April 1st (Called Skillaz)
Since then i have joined RSS - Runescape Skillers. They're currently (according to runehead) the best skillers clan in terms of average combat (132.44) and Skill total (2138) so its a delight to have joined their ranks. Hopefully this skillers clan won't be closing down anytime soon.
I also joined a God wars group called God War Raider (GWR). Since joining, i went to Sara gw for the first time and in 2 weeks we got 13 Sara swords, 1 hilt (2 but i missed one) and a few shards.
Also, i was added to the England & Britain elite lists.
------------------
Farming
As aforementioned, i'm currently mainly training farming. Infact i only login for farming (usually every 80 mins for a herb cycle) or a clan/god war event.
I've been getting a minimum of 200k exp a day at a huge financial cost which is balanced by my merchanting, small herb profits and god war trips.
I've been growing Magic trees (10 a day) Palm trees (5 a day) Calquat tree (1 a day) & Torstol seeds (around 25- 50 a day). The trees make up the 200k minimum exp a day and the herbs can usually give me an extra 30k+.
It's a very easy skill to train and requires very little effort directly, though indirectly it does require effort to make the money needed to gain as much exp as i get. The only annoying part of farming is waiting for a tree to fall, and cutting magic trees can be very slow. I could have an NPC cut my tree for me, but when your paying as much as i am for the tree, its better to cut the wood and get the roots to sell so you can make a little back.
The herb seeds cost me 6k each and i make a minimum of 15k back, if the herb doesn't die. Its not nearly as good as snapdragon or ranarr profits but the exp is more than double that of snapdragon and way more than ranarr and in my opinion, faster exp is more preferable than money.
Before i set myself any goals, i usually do a great deal of preparation. I look at the different methods. The exp rates, the cost and most importantly for me, the effort required. For farming, the only two aspects i need to worry about are exp rates and gp. Before i chose what trees to grow, i calculated the gp per 1xp.
For yews/papaya, the cost is 11.5gp per 1 exp. For magic/palms, the exp is 13gp
So for me, to gain 9m exp (which i needed at the time i did the maths) the choice was to spend 103m or 117m. I chose magic/palms because i think 14m extra is very little to pay when the difference of exp per day is almost double!!.
So thats how it is. Every day i wake up, i plant magic trees, palms, calquats and torstol seeds and give payments to caretakers for the magic and palm trees. Then every 80 mins (when i can) i replant herbs and 9 hours after planting magics, in the evening i replant magics before going to sleep. Every day, for the next month until 99 farming. See you then.

Whats Been Going On
Posted by Cthulthu , 17 February 2008 - 09:35 PM
So i got 99 mage ages ago. So that was another goal completed.
My next goal was to get 85 slayer and 70 summoning when the skill came out. Both of those have been achieved, i gained 8 slayer levels to get 85 slayer and i'm 71 summoning so i have the pet i wanted (Guthix Raptor to go with my guthix clothes)
So atm, my goal is 90 slayer. I only plan to go to spirit mages and abyssal demons on slayer tasks (for boots and whips) and i plan on spending most of that money on getting 99 prayer at some point (currently 79).
My goal is 99 slayer but its 90 for now because i want to pace myself or it will get boring fast.
I would like to reach cmb 138, and im sure achieving 99 slayer will get me more than enough charms, so the only problem will be money but i will think more about that problem later.
Almost 2100 skill, probably wont get that too soon but i will probably summon/slayer/pray & farm my way to that.
--------
Getting a bit bored of RS
I really liked monster hunting but since we can't share loot, its pretty pointless doing so. Im still waiting on Jagex to make the update they promised (loot share literally).
--------
Cash goal was completed, i've got easily 140m but 1) purple phat is now 160m & 2) i rather keep my bandos/Df etc. for slayer.
So atm, i only want or need as much money as it takes to get 99 slayer and 138 combat.
....Actually thats a lie, i want enough cash to get 99 craft/farm/herb ....all the buyable skills. But i can wait :)
My New Goal
Posted by Cthulthu , 29 December 2007 - 10:12 AM
As you ma have guessed from the Exp bar signatures to the left, my next goal is 99 Mage!
Since getting 99 range, i did get 97 mage yesterday.

Method
I'll be using Fire Blast (1 Death, 5 fire, 4 air) to 99.
I tried Fire bolt (1 chaos, 4 fire, 3 air) but i was getting 32k an hour which isn't fast enough for me. Fire blasts on the other hand gave me 48k per hour so i chose speed over the extra cost.
This goal will cost me approx. 20m for around 65k Fire Blasts.

(The teles are for tele grab)
Location
I'll be training in two areas this time, depending on what i'm doing while on Runescape.
Greater Demons at Ogre Enclave because i don't get attacked, don't have to move and don't have to leave until i run out of runes or my ahrims degrades to 0. I'll use this method when watching videos (I love Anime and i can't watch it while playing RS unless RS require little attention which killing greater demons does.
When I'm chatting or browsing the internet i'll be killing Iron Dragons at Burnthorpe Dungeon because it requires more attention and is well worth it because its the same exp rate and i have a chance of two decent drops (Dragon Skirt/Legs) & one very good drop (Dragonic Visage).

My Mage Gear
This is the best mage bonus available on Runescape at the moment.

From top to bottom & Left to right, the items are:
Third age Mage Hat, Zammy god cape, Third age Mage ammy, Master wand, Ahrim's top, Mage book, Ahrim's skirt, Barrows gloves, Infinity boots, Seers rings.
Summary
So there you have it. I'm going for 99 Mage, I'm averaging 350k exp a day so at best, i can get 99 mage within 6 days but it will probably take longer.
I hope to get a visage too which would cover all my mage costs (not including my Mage gear which will be sold when i'm done and should not lose much in value)
99 Range
Posted by Cthulthu , 28 December 2007 - 12:49 PM
99 Range on the 24th of December at 11.49pm!
I had the exp required by 11.40pm and i got the level at Varrock Sewers where i began ranging. I only had 2 people come because everyone was asleep, waiting for Santa to visit =P

I've posted this very late because i've been doing so much family stuff the last few days but i'm back now and i'm going to try post a blog every day aslong as i have something to talk about =P
Anyway! That my range goal complete
Tomorrow i'll let you in on my next goal which i've already started.
98 Range
Posted by Cthulthu , 21 December 2007 - 07:01 PM

98 Range!
30 hours of Range left, 72 hours left to do it in!
10 hours a day, Its a lot but i think i can make it, and if it gets to the point where i can't with my current method, i will buy and use Red Chins.
My Goal: 99 Range Before Christmas Day

Hey again
Ok, so it's the 21st of December today and I'm currently 97 Range with 11,563,000m exp.

My goal is not only to get 99 range, but to get it by or during the early hours of the 25th of December.
How easy the goal is to accomplish depends on the method. For me, the goal will be very hard because i am using bone bolts at Greater Demons which averages around 40-45k exp an hour.

On this basis, it should take around 37 and a half hours maximum (@40k per hour)
Equipment

I can afford to use better equipments (full Armadyl & Crystal bow) but i don't want to waste money as would happen because the items that are falling steadily in value and i'm happy with my current gear. I could also afford to use red chimps but whats the point of wasting money when its possible to achieve my goal without hurting my pockets =P.
Method
I am indeed ranging while I'm typing this blog. I play by sound, which lets me know when I'm not ranging and when the demon is dead. It also lets me look away for a little without worrying about randoms which make a small sound but easy enough to catch. I probably do lose quite a few decent drops, especially key halves which i don't look for and are well hidden but thats fine by me. This method allows me browse the internet, watch TV or watch videos on my computer from sites like youtube without paying much attention to ranging, making it a nice and easy skill to train.
Drops
The best drops are Rune Helms, Addy Legs, Rubies, Key halves and my favorite drop, Level 3 Clues. There is also a possibility of a Dragon shield half but thats way to rare to even think about. From Demon clues, my best reward has been Robins hat on 3 occasions.
Location
I'm usually ranging on worlds 45 (Skillaz world) 69 (Home World) 91 (Lavadragon's world) or 120 (Supreme Skiller's world). Whichever world is empty, because i prefer to be alone so that i can easily pick a greater demon to kill rather than having to kill whatever demon is available in the cage even though it might be far away and i would have to choose a different range style.
In case you didn't know, the Greater Demons are in Ogre Enclave (Thats south west of Yanille) where there are also Blue dragons and is a popular spot for money makers (Blues are 4k per kill). I kill greater demons because i don't have to move, i don't get the urge to pick up arrows because i can't, i don't get hurt so i can bring lots of range pots and stay there for ages & because the cage has 4 demons, so unless theres more than 2 people at the cage, there is always a demon to be killed.
Summary
So, 80 hours remain to Christmas day, and i have 37 and a half hours of ranging to do, wish me luck!
Welcome

This my first ever blog & blog entry of any kind. I'm looking forward to sharing my achievements with you and hope you can support me and in return you can use comments to ask me questions so that i can help you and share my knowledge and experience.
I've been playing since around October 2001 with numerous breaks in between. My longest break was two years, half way through RS2 beta and unfortunately missed perhaps the greatest RS bug to have existed, the duplication bug.
At the moment i am 123 combat, lacking only in prayer which i don't intend to get in the foreseeable future.
I have a skill total of 2001, with nine 99's including Smithing and my next goal is 99 range, which i will talk about tomorrow.
Thats enough for now, i will let you know more about me in other blog entries, or if i'm asked a specific question, i'll give you a shout out at the end of a blog.
So stay tuned. Add my blog if such a feature exists and help the world of evil spread.
Suggestion by Psycho is comments. Heres my stats (Picture of stats sig, so it wont update) to use for later comparisons of progress.

#Rant 4 Vs Clan Exigence.
Posted by Cthulthu , 16 February 2004 - 09:41 PM
So today, my clan (The Lavadragons) participate in the 2nd event of an overall Olympics event held by our ally clan, Instinct. Also in this competition is Clan Exigence, led by 'Eps_N_Randy'. Now this competition is meant to be just a little light hearted fun for all involved, see'ing as there is no actual reward or anything to gain.
The event today was to see who could gain the most of an item from monster drops within 30 minutes, with that item being annouced immediantly before the start of the competition (so there would be no preparation in gear and thinking). The item chosen was fire runes and every made their own way to a monster that they believed would give them the most exp...all except one person 'I pk 4 phats' who decided to cheat. Cheating in this competition is fairly easy if you dont exaggerate the number of fire runes you claim to recieve, but that wasn't obvious to 'I pk 4 phats' and he chose to claim he had recieved 9150 fire rune in 30 minutes by barraging dust devils, which was unbelievable see'ing as the next highest contender which was me, had around 1600 fire runes (from harpie swarm bugs) and after that, 750 fire runes was the 3rd most (from fire giants). Having already sent out an obvious cheating alert, he claimed to barrage them, which it was pretty obvious he hadn't because he chosen to hop world instantly after declaring himself the winner, allowing me to track him at 48xp magic exp (that day) straight after.
Now, a cheater is a cheater, i had called him out as one but talking to him about it would have been pointless, so naturally i decided to address a leader about it hoping they would deal with him appropriately (and not making it a secret that i hope to get him kicked from his clan, at least, if he had been in my clan, i would have urged the leader to kick him, not having wanted to be associated with a cheater). People say second chances should be given, but at what stage does anyone think to themselves cheating is alright, what possible excuse can one give to cheat, can youth really be an excuse, even the young must know that cheating is frowned upon, so why should a second chance be given, will they really learn.
Anyway, as mentioned above, their leader is 'Eps_N_Randy' and i try and get in contact but eventually it happens via IRC because people know i'm unhappy with the cheating thats taken place and know i want to speak with their leader so it was only a matter of time before she was ushered into my cc. While she's in it, im talking to a 'friend' and messing around and somehow she thinks i'm talking about her and asks me why i'm flaming her, already this early i know i'm talking to someone who can't read..., i also get acused of flaming 'i pk 4 phats', when all i've said is he is a cheater and i hope he gets kicked from his clan, so unless calling a cheater a cheater is really flaming them when its stating a fact, i must be wrong. So within a couple of minutes, of no fault of my own, we've already gone miles off track in which i'm being called out for flaming when i have done no such thing. The sensible thing to do what to take the discussion into private so i could stay on track.
Now here's the kicker, here's the main rant....I call 'i pk 4 phats' a 'lame cheater'. Now, this discussion can progress in two way (apparently, though i would never have dreamt it), she could discuss him being a cheater OR she could discuss me calling him lame. Apparently, it was her priority to make sure i was aware should would not tolerate me calling him lame. I couldn't believe it...for the 3rd time we were heading offtopic and he hadn't event started! Perhaps i shouldn't have called him lame but never had i thought someone would take such huge offence over such a relaxed term. I had not sworn, i had not said anything untrue, i had not belittled him, i called him lame! and cheaters simply are lame but regardless, it's never been a word people usually take offence at, its a commonly used word like calling someone a noob but how often does someone call you out for calling someone else a noob? Jagex are uptight about their censor but not even they would censor the world 'lame' or punish someone for using it in any manner of speaking.
When we did finally get ontopic, she said she would speak to him about it, but other than the meaningless words she spouts, i doubt any action took place and i highly doubt 'I pk 4 phats' would have been that bothered, he did seem rather immature afterall so i wouldn't have expected him to have reacted to anything other than removal from the clan, but atleast he's their problem and not ours.
Now i'm sure some people might think that she was only protecting her members, and i do try (afterwards) to see it from both points of view, but we're not talking about a small disagreement, we're talking about her prioritising the issue of name calling over the issue of cheating which annoyed me beyond anything else and it should have been no more than a side topic which i would have glady accepted (and did say i would) but she would not stop talking about it.
Afterwards, i talked about her behind her back, but somehow the discussion made it back to her and she told me not to talk behind her back. Point taken though if i'm talking about someone to someone else, i'm hardly going to invite her back into the channel i've throw her out off, so she can watch me slag her off, seems a bit sadistic lol.
Oh, but wait, few hours later i hear from someone in Instinct, apparently they're calling me a douche in the #exigence channel and he wanted to know what was going on, and theres me thinking...i can't talk behind her back but she can feel free to do it behind mine? Can that be described as payback?, can the 'teacher' forsake her ideologies in order to gain payback, the ideology she preaches but does not adhere too in certain occasions perhaps? As the crow flies?
Pathetic...
And lets be honest, not only am i being talked about behind my back, but calling me a douche must easily be level with calling someone lame. Had she really spent all that time complaining about me calling one of her members, a cheater, lame, only to do the same to me?
Do i react? No.
The issue is over for me. They can call me a douche but what for? For calling out a member of theirs for cheating which he had plainly done and for calling him 'lame'. In essence, that's all that really happened, the word lame had created an argument and within a few hours Exigence became the clan that cheats, whose leader is a hypocrite and whose clan she will protect with her ideologies but will neither adhere to herself, nor preach to her own clan. A disgraceful clan with no dignity and a leader with no control over her members and herself.
What i did not mention above but i believe should be added in the eventuality that 'Eps_N_Randy' is reading is..
'[00:05] <Exi_Nation> bug sucks ****'. I think this nicely summaries her failure of a clan. Good luck with that.
Sad thing is, i have to participate in events with this clan for a week and a half still!, oh the pain, oh the stupidity, oh the hypocrisy.
